Do I need a retainer or can I just get one document or report done?
You don't need a retainer to work with us. Standalone deliverables. contracts, handbooks, compliance reports, financial models, cash flow analysis, payroll setups. are available as one-time engagements. Book an assessment session and we'll scope it together. Many clients start with a deliverable and move to a retainer once they see the value.
We are based in the US. can you still help us?
Absolutely. The majority of our clients are US-based companies and founders. All sessions are conducted via Zoom and all deliverables are delivered digitally. We work across the US mainland, Puerto Rico, Latin America, and internationally. jurisdiction is never a barrier.
Our financials are a mess. where do we even start?
This is one of the most common situations we work with. We start with a financial operations diagnostic. reviewing your chart of accounts, reporting structure, cash flow visibility, and payroll setup. From there we build a clear remediation plan. You don't need to have it together before hiring us. That's exactly what we're here for.
What is Act 60 and why does it matter for my business?
Act 60 is Puerto Rico's Export Services incentive. qualifying businesses pay a fixed 4% corporate income tax rate on income from clients outside Puerto Rico, versus the standard 21% federal rate. If you are considering relocating or expanding to Puerto Rico, this is one of the most significant tax advantages available to US businesses. We advise on eligibility, compliance requirements, and the full operational setup once you relocate.
How is Elevate different from hiring a freelance HR consultant, a CFO, or an accountant separately?

We are hiring our first employees. what do we need in place?
More than most founders realize. You need compliant employment contracts, a payroll system configured correctly for your jurisdiction, HR policies, an onboarding process, and an understanding of your obligations as an employer. Get one thing wrong and it's expensive to fix. We set it up right from day one. employment documentation, payroll infrastructure, compliance baseline, and the financial controls to manage headcount costs as you grow.
What size companies do you work with?
We work with solo founders who are just getting started, small businesses with 2–50 employees scaling their operations, and mid-size companies navigating complexity across multiple jurisdictions. We do not have a minimum size. we have a minimum seriousness. If you are ready to build your business the right way, we are the right partner.
Are your fees tax deductible?
In most cases, yes. consulting fees paid to Elevate Strategic Group are deductible as a business expense under federal and Puerto Rico tax law. We recommend confirming with your CPA for your specific situation. We are happy to provide documentation of services rendered for your records.
